FIRE FIGHTING

Fire Fighting is part of the OPITO and STCW basic course. It consists of a theoretical and practical component in which participants will learn the different types of extinguishers and how to take appropriate action when a fire is detected. Beside this, they will also learn how to don and operate a breathing apparatus as well as escape sets.


The following items are included in the Fire Fighting module:


* 40 ft container in which several practice areas are constructed
* Foam, CO2, Dry Chemical extinguishers
* Hose reels
* Breathing apparatus
* Escape devices (e.g. Smoke hood)
* High pressure Air compressor
* Firefighters outfit
* Fire trays
* Furnished practice room
* Smoke generator
