EBS

In the European region, it is mandatory in all offshore flights to wear special “re-breathing” equipment during the entire flight. This Emergency Breathing System (EBS) is integrated in a life vest. When a helicopter has ditched in the sea, the EBS can be activated and provides several minutes of valuable additional breathing time underwater.


In the OPITO basic course, (BOSIET), it is mandatory to teach and practice with this EBS. During training people get familiar with the device and learn how to operate the system.


The EBS module contains the following equipment, integrated in a 20 ft container:


* 20 EBS life vests
* Full cleaning facility
